Being engaged means promising each other that you will love each other for eternity, be loyal, true, and commit. The event normally involve a precious ring, which always reminds me of the movie "The Lord of the Ring".

The history of engagement ring is more myth and fantasy than the actual fact. Most people believe that "The ring" is a symbol of everlasting love, purity, devotion and commitment between two people.

Here in our part of world, the engagement period is a critical one for every couple. It's time for meeting the parents. Both partners going through strict monitoring and at then it's customary for the man & sometime woman to buy an engagement ring. The ring is a circle that has no beginning and no end, which is how marriage should mean.

Its not an easy task to keep & take the commitment to the next level. But love is a strange phenomenon which can make the world go round. May Allah bless them both with a wonderful life ahead. I am so happy for both of them.

There is much more to life than driving around pathways of tar thinking about the size of your house or the vastness of your accumulations.

Now and then our souls rise up and become aware of something bigger, and we ask ourselves , "who am I, where am I, why am I?" When all is said and done, am I truly experiencing my life or just "going through it"?! In these special moments we reawaken to the mystery of being here at all. These thoughts take us closer to the essential mysteries that surround us and awaken a deep sense of what it means to be alive. This desire to connect with the real nature of our existence produces some of the most powerful thoughts and feelings, and most of the great art.

Sitting mesmerized at the play of light on the ripples of the stream or studying the pattern of fissures and lichen on the ancient erratic in the meadow is not in itself what is deeply special. Certainly these activities bring a deep sense of joy, but more importantly, they help you enter a place of recognition and connection.

Personally, I know of no more profound moments than those when all other thoughts slip away and you are left with a pure sense of your own "being" in the world. I find these moments of real insight come most often when I am in nature, disconnected from the many layers of artifice we have constructed around us.

If you take the time to find your connection with nature you will receive something you cannot get in any other way.

Presenting ... Nature, Art & Meaning... An Album of epic proportions.

Once again, the desire to feel the serenity around us took me to the spot where elements and souls come together to create an Ultimate Trance of Life, silence prevails and one feel far away.

This place is blessed with abundance. New species of life could be felt all-around. So few has been to the depth of EcoSystem. In which smell of loneliness, sound of running spring water, songs of birds, color of flowers 'n leaves, darkness of the shadows, the sunshine, the holly engraving, whispers of wind are few of the highlights which could be described here.

So join me in this wonderful experience of finding oneself and one's place in this wast world of endless possibilities.

As the story continue.... into the Wilderness.

I believe if we are honest with ourselves, that the most fascinating problem in the world is "Who Am I?".
What do you mean? What do you feel? when you say the word 'I", "I", Myself.
I don't think there can be any more fascinating preoccupation than that. Because its so mysterious, its so illusive. Because what you are in your in-most being escapes your examination in rather the say way that you can't look directly into your own eyes without using a mirror. You cant bite your own teeth. You cant taste your own tongue. And you can't touch the tip of this finger with the tip of this finger. And thats why there is always an element of profound mystery in problem of "Who We Are???"

Discovering this idyllic place, I find myself filled with a yearning to linger here, where time stands still and beauty overwhelms. These are some of the magnificent views blessed to us at the Faisal Mosque Islamabad, yet not discovered by many people. So here it is the the delicate yellow, delicate soft green, delicate violet of a ploughed and weeded piece of soil, where sun does not shine for a few trees and flowers, but for the wide world's joy.

Just stop everything as I take you to another world. Take a deep breath. Relax and take in the abundance of life as Nature is the Art of GOD....

On the Way to Lahore from Islamabad through G-T Road, after crossing a town of Dina its only 7 Km drive to this gigantic fort. Founded on steep rocks jutting into the river Kahan. Sher Shah Suri named Qila Rohtas after the famous Rohtasgarh Fort in Shahabad district near Baharkunda, Bihar which he captured from the Raja of Rohtas Hari Krishan Rai in 1539.

Sher Shah Suri died before the completion of this magnificent structure.

A Day trip to this place is always a delight, specially in winters when mists are around. Here is what I saw on the North-West side of the Fort. Its hard to visit all the fort in one day.

A must visit place...

One good thing about Twin City is its surroundings.. Short Drive can take you to the peaceful and sometimes chilling places. Bani Gala, Pir Suhawa, Shadara, Ban, Karoor, Rawal Lake, Rohtas and Murree are few to name here.

This time its a way which is not visited by most of us.... A newly build Murree Express Way, Leading from the Murree Tool Plaza to Patriata (New Murree). Since its been under construction one can only go for the views till Masiari from where a connecting Road to Main Murree starts.

Views are wonderful, so is the double Lane road. I suggest you give this road a try... Just when you feel to have a Long Drive.

enjoy some of the views of 3 Feb 2008.... Comment

Pir Sohawa is an upland scenic rural location, popular for recreational walking and picnics, in the Margalla Hills near Islamabad, Pakistan. It presents a breathtaking view of Islamabad.

Construction of the metalled road from Islamabad to Pir Sohawa was started by President Ayub Khan, who wanted it to go all the way to the Khanpur Dam rest house, a favourite spot of his. After he fell from power, however, work on the road was halted and was not resumed until many years later, and then, too, only in fits and starts, attended by the usual problems of budgetary cuts and absconding road contractors. Even today, the Khanpur Dam road extends only a few miles beyond Pir Sohawa and then becomes a dirt track fit only for four-wheel drive vehicles.

Over the years, We have driven up to Pir Sohawa often. In all that time, however, I have never come across any sign of any president of Pakistan there, nor any prime minister or would-be prime minister.

A friend... It's always a delight to visit Mani (Imran). There are so many things around him that makes him unique, and one of it is his lawn. There isn't much to say about his personality but he is just wonderful... The one of his own kind. I hope you will enjoy the views of his garden.

Few pictures under were taken at Rawal Dam, Islamabad after the heavy rains... I call it the dance of colors... View was so clear that one can photograph objects which are tens of miles away.

I can not forget that day and I hope after viewing those pictures you would certainly move to Rawal Dam when the rain would fall some day.

Comments would be great...

“Now very often events are set up for photographers... The weddings are orchestrated about the photographers taking the picture, because if it hasn't been photographed it doesn't really exist.”

Here it is as it exists... The first season of my wedding photos "Rasm-E-Hina" is celebration of colors... Yellow and green more particular. I hope you would take some time out and look at them... Your comments would surly make things better.

With Special Thanks to Sameer Butt.. This wont be happening if he wont be there....
